About the KVK Innovatie Top 100
The KVK Innovation Top 100 has been a platform for innovation in the Netherlands for 20 years. Big names such as menstrual product brand Yoni Care and the clothing brand Labfresh have already made their mark here. New this year is that we also offer startups a chance to win. Find out what has changed, about the categories, and how we decide the results.
What is different this year?
Categories
Since 2024, we compare participants from the same category to ensure a fair and realistic comparison. So, medical innovations compete against medical innovations, and logistics innovations compete against logistics innovations, etc.
Public votes
Since 2024, public votes count alongside the jury's decision. Encourage public votes to boost your chances!
Startups
From 2025, businesses with no turnover can also take part. As a startup, you already have a great idea, but maybe you are still missing investors or partners. The visibility and recognition of the KVK Innovation Top 100 can help with this.
Categories
The entries are grouped into 5 different categories. These are:
- Circular economy is for innovations designed to maximise the reusability of products and raw materials, extend the lifespan of materials, and minimise the impact on the environment.
- Energy transition is for the transition from traditional fossil fuels and energy sources to sustainable, renewable energy sources. Such as solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, and biomass.
- Labour market and society is for innovations that aim to improve the way people work together, organise, communicate, and live together.
- Agriculture, water, and infrastructure is for innovative solutions in agriculture, water management, and infrastructure that enable businesses to transform their sector.
- Health and nutrition is for innovations related to monitoring, promoting, maintaining, and restoring the health of individuals and communities.

Jury and assessment
This year, the KVK Innovation Top 100 will once again nominate 100 entrepreneurs. At our event in November, the following innovators will also be invited to step up onto the stage:
- 1 winner from each category
- 1 innovation promise from each category
- The overall winner of the KVK Innovation Top 100 2025
The winners will be decided by a combination of a professional jury for each category and public votes. The jury’s decision is worth 80% of the score, and the public vote is worth 20%. That means you, the participant, can influence your ranking. Win public votes and increase your chances!
